Become a Santa monica community

navigator

Join the Movement

A Community Navigator connects individuals and organizations with information and support within their local community. The goal of community navigation is to find ways to overcome barriers that prevent people and organizations from providing essential services and resources or moving their mission forward.

Navigators might assist individuals in accessing information about upcoming events, meetings and conferences and/or making connections between organizations with similar end goals.

A community navigator might also help organizations understand and navigate the resources available to them, such as technology, writing and nonprofit best practices.

Additionally, they may assist in addressing challenges or other obstacles that arise as organizations work toward their goals.

Spread the Word

Community Navigators act as change agents in the community. Some may work on folding DEIA into existing structures, others may act as connecters, and still others may provide mentorship to students. Regardless of what type of community navigator you aim to be, your help is needed and appreciated!
