GARDENING CLUB
coMMUNITY-based GARDENING!
Building a Stronger Santa Monica Community
We are excited to introduce Bahala’s new Gardening Club!
The Gardening Club is a welcoming weekly gathering for neighborhood residents to come together, cultivate community, and grow something beautiful—both in their gardens and in their connections with one another. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this club is a place to learn, share tips, and exchange resources to help everyone’s green spaces thrive. Held at Park Drive North’s Community Garden, we celebrate all levels of gardening and the joy it brings.
This is an intergenerational opportunity where young people, families, and older residents can connect, garden side by side, and build new relationships.
Along with hands-on gardening sessions at Park Drive North, there will be occasional volunteer opportunities to give back to the community such as the much-loved Pancake Mornings at Ishihara Park put on monthly by the City of Santa Monica’s Community Gardens Public Program —because nothing brings people together like good food and fresh air!
GET INVOLVED
Aside from the Pancake Mornings that occur on the 3rd Saturday of every month, we will be meeting every Friday morning at Park Drive North from 9:00-10:00am before Coffee & Connections. If you have questions or would like to learn more about our program, please reach out to Deb Burgin at deb@bahala.org.
