Coffee & Connections is a standing invitation to end your week with an energizing dose of human connection. Every Friday morning, Bahala hosts a casual hangout with coffee, bagels, and neighbors—plus the neighbors they bring along. It’s a screen-free, stress-free space where comradery is the main event, and good ideas flow as easily as the coffee.
Building Community has never been more stimulating!

Grab a cup of joe and strike up a chat with local organizers, small business owners, educators, artists, and fellow residents.
Locality is the only requirement. If you live within biking distance, you’re more than welcome to come and go as you please.
You never know when a casual conversation will turn into a creative breakthrough!

Your idea didn’t make it into the agenda because there is no agenda!
If you’re ready to teach something, share a project, or pitch an idea, we’re your captive audience and incubator.
From software development and social services to education and local recreation, anything that goes with coffee belongs here.

Guest speakers, pop-up workshops, and collaborative activities keep things fun. One week might spark a neighborhood initiative, another, a new friendship.
Who knew that sitting down over coffee could start a local movement!
Now expanding beyond Friday mornings, the program has an evening pilot giving even more neighbors a chance to join the conversation. Coffee & Connections is part of Bahala’s mission to manage information overload and build a more connected Santa Monica.
