Tame our AI workflows! Bahala is looking for a tech-minded high schooler to help connect multiple AIs performing a variety of community-focused tasks. You’ll study different ways to split up projects between AI tools and document what works (and what hilariously doesn’t).

You’ll be a science lab assistant, but for AI instead of chemistry.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Lots of experiments— Can three AIs build a website together? What happens when you assign the same task separately?

  • Document everything—Map out processes and create step-by-step guides (with diagrams) showing how to break projects into AI-friendly chunks

  • Test and break things—Deliberately try to confuse AIs to figure out where processes fall apart

  • Keep a lab notebook—Write up what worked, what failed, and why you think it happened

  • Share discoveries—Present your findings to the team in weekly check-ins


Requirements

  • Currently in high school (juniors/seniors preferred)

  • Can commit 10-15 hours per week

  • Have used AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Claude

  • Good at writing clearly

  • Want to help your local community


Nice-to-Haves

  • Love the scientific method and don’t mind when things fail

  • Can explain complex things simply (bonus if you’ve made tutorials)

  • Like organizing and documenting stuff

  • Think it’s fun to find creative solutions to problems
