Now, the program is expanding through a virtual tool that connects students to service opportunities, mentorship, and career exploration—all grounded in the needs of Santa Monica. By linking students with real-world experiences and supportive mentors, Student Pathways empowers young people to find purpose while building a stronger, more connected community.

GET INVOLVED

We need volunteer mentors and professionals from a variety of backgrounds to make this program successful. If you have questions or would like to learn more about our program, please reach out to Deb Burgin at deb@bahala.org.

Student Pathways began as a pilot program offering project-based learning and community service opportunities to local youth. In its first year, Bahala partnered with 14 teachers and administrators to support four unique student cohorts, helping middle schoolers, high schoolers, and early-career students explore new interests, develop leadership skills, and make meaningful contributions to their community.
